The Nordic Performing Arts Days is a unique chance to see, experience, learn and meet new colleagues from all over the world – and as a special treat the world in this case includes a guest performance from North Korea. The days will be formed as a caravan of performing artists that will be traveling through the four biggest Danish cities: From Aalborg via Aarhus and Odense to Copenhagen. Both streets and theater spaces will be lighten up with performances, workshops, parties including a visiting program for international presenters and much more. The perspective on the performing arts is different in each city where the caravan stops – in Aalborg the focus in on new collective creation processes, in Aarhus on dance and performance and new work formats, in Odense on performing arts for young audiences and in Copenhagen on dramatic art.

We hope you would like to participate in the Nordic Performing Arts Days, a platform that aims at challenging, involving and giving ownership in order to promote ongoing and new performing arts initiatives.

You can join the caravan for the entire period or on singular days and events. A full registration fee cost DKK 1000 for the whole festival. The amount covers:

• Welcome package with all the relevant information about the festival and registration as part of the international visitors program with opportunity to participate in networking events
• Admission to all activities and reservation to events and performances.
• Free participation in the parties - 12 June in Aalborg, 14 June in Aarhus, 17 June in Odense and 21 June in Copenhagen.
• Opportunity to purchase tickets at a special price in Aarhus and Copenhagen
• Transportation between platforms and to events in Copenhagen
• Possibility of booking hotels at a special price
• Possibility to purchase lunch for DKK 100 and some dinners to DKK 150

9-12 June in Aalborg, organizers: Theatre Nordkraft and the National Performing Arts School - Continuing Education

13-14 June in Aarhus, organizers: Aarhus Performing Arts Center and Danseværket
The performing arts in society - works and dialogues The focus of the Aarhus platform is dance, choreography, performance and artistic basic research and development of new performing art forms. Performances by Granhøj Dans, Secret Hotel, Aqua Sonic and Wunderland.

15-17 June in Odense, organizers: Assitej Denmark and Nørregaards Teater Nordic PULSE - festival for children and youth
At the festival in Odense there will be performances from all the Nordic countries: Cauda (SE), POTATOPOTATO (SE), Konstellasjonen (NO), Team Braza (NO), Panta Rei Dance Theatre (NO), Tiu fingur (IS), Dirty Duckling (FI) and the Greenland National Theatre together with the Danish groups Theatre My, Hvid Støj, Nørregaards Teater/Stuen tv, Nordkraft, Aaben Dans, Asterions Hus, Det menneskelige teater, Teater Apropos/Filuren and ZeBU. The program will also feature informed discussions of theater for young audiences.

18-21 June in Copenhagen, organizers: CPH STAGE, Husets Teater and Republique
CPH STAGE, Nordic Drama Train and conference at Republique At CPH STAGE meet 115 participating theaters with 120 performances and events from Denmark, North Korea, Sweden, Norway, the Faroe Islands, China, Czech Republic, Germany, Holland, Italy, Spain and Switzerland. Husets Teater hosts the Festival of European Contemporary Playwrights 2014, featuring the Nordic Drama Train and the Danish ITI center is organizing a string of debates. Come to the opening and ‘Reumert Salon’ 18 June and get a perspective on the reality of performing arts.

Participate in the professional conference 19-20 June. ‘Go Queer’ at Warehouse 9, check out the urban space with KIT or join ‘Weekend6’ with Dramafronten - and experience the Nordic Midsummer Fest on 21 June.

The Nordic Performing Art Days is organized by the Danish ITI center in collaboration with Teaterunionen/Swedish ITI, TINFO, Performing Arts Iceland, Performing Arts Hub Norway and Leikarafelag Føroya with support from the Danish Arts Council, Nordic Culture Point, Nordic Culture Fund and Bikubenfonden.
