Act alone is a theatre festival dedicated to the art of acting alone i.e. monodrama. The festival has been held every summer since 2004 in the town Isafjordur in the Westfjords of Iceland. The Act Alone festival is held by the Comedy Theater in association with Fisherman and partners.
The director of Act alone is Elfar Logi Hannesson.
LÓKAL - International Theatre Festival Reykjavík is an independent theatre festival that has been held annually since 2008. LÓKAL focuses on cutting edge work for the theatre. The festival also aims at connecting local artists with the international theatre scene.

The Reykjavík Arts Festival is held every year in May. It was held biennially from 1970 and annually from 2004. The Festival is one of Northern Europe's oldest arts festivals. The purpose of the Festival is to promote Icelandic and international culture in all fields of art. The programs offer a range of concerts, theatre performances, exhibitions, dance and opera. In combination with its focus on Icelandic culture, past and present, the Festival has hosted many outstanding international artists and performers.
Reykjavík Dance festival is a dance festival that has been running since 2002. It is the only festival in Iceland, which focuses exclusively primarily on dance and is held in the beginning of September each year. A new artistic director of RDF is nominated each year.
Sequences, is a visual arts festival held for the first time in 2006. The festival focus is different each every year but includes performative work often created in cooperation between artists from different artforms.
